Pastor Michael A. Cobbs is the son of Timothy and Clara Cobbs of Gary, Indiana where he was born and raised until joining the U.S. Navy in 1986. Five years after joining the military he met and married Sheila Joseph. They have been married for 25 years.
While stationed in San Diego, California, Pastor was baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit gives the utterance. This was all under the leadership of Bishop Joseph R. Hall and First Lady Deloris Hall of Garden of Prayer Apostolic Church, where he served faithfully for 6 years.
Following God's direction, Pastor then joined Christ Temple Apostolic Church where he was mentored by Bishop Dr. Donnie N. McGriff and Dr. Shirley McGriff. While attending Christ Temple, Pastor was elevated to Deacon. He served on the Usher Board, President and Vice-President of Men's Ministry, Altar Workers Ministry, Prison Ministry, Men's Ministry Choir, the Church Executive Board and Bishop's Armor Bearer.
During this time he was also Blessed with his first child, a daughter, Charity. Not long before retiring from the Navy, God Blessed Pastor with another elevation to Minister.
Pastor was Blessed with another child in 2005, a son, Michael II. After retiring from the Navy where he served for 20 years, God moved him and his family to Richmond, TX where he would begin to embark on the journey that God had planned for his life. Pastor served at Greater Victory Temple in Houston, TX for 2 years under the leadership of Bishop Larry J. Conner and First Lady Chandra R. Conner. There he was ordained as an Elder in July of 2009.
While living in Texas, Pastor and his family were sent to several Ministries that prepared him for the call that God had on his life. He accepted that call and stepped out on FAITH to start Life Brand New Fellowship Church. God has given him an awesome vision for the ministry, and he has purposed in his heart to see it come to pass. He loves the Lord and is very passionate about the word of God and delivering it in the way that God intended.
